Terms of service
Effective from: 2026-10-15
These terms explain how to use our website, our free AI readiness audit tool and the "BBOLD Connector" app, and how we work with clients. We have tried to keep them simple – if anything is unclear, write to hello@bbold.online.
In short
- The scope, price and deadlines of each project are set in the offer and/or the signed agreement. These terms cover everything else.
- We fix bugs caused by our work free of charge for 12 months after the work is accepted.
- Invoices are due within 14 days unless agreed otherwise.
- Once the work is paid in full, what we created for you is yours.
- The audit tool is free and for information only; BBOLD Connector is paid through Shopify.
- How we handle personal data is described in our >privacy policy.
1. Who we are and when these terms apply
The services are provided by BBOLD online, UAB, company code 305719974, Ateities g. 10, Vilnius, 08345, Lithuania, email hello@bbold.online (BBOLD, we, us).
These terms apply when you:
- browse the bbold.online website (section 2);
- use the AI readiness audit tool at >audit.bbold.online (section 3);
- use the >BBOLD Connector Shopify app (section 4);
- order our agency services – building, migrating, improving or maintaining a Shopify store, integrations, audits or consulting (section 5).
If documents differ. If a signed agreement or its annex says something different from these terms, the agreement applies. If there is no agreement, the offer you accepted applies, and these terms cover everything else.
Business clients and consumers. Our services are intended for companies and other business clients. If you use them as a consumer (an individual acting outside a business), all mandatory consumer protection rules apply to you, and these terms do not limit them.
2. The bbold.online website
- The website content – texts, articles, design, logos and images – belongs to BBOLD or is used with permission. You may quote it with a reference to the source, but you may not copy it or use it commercially without our consent.
- Articles, tips and calculators (e.g. the Shopify plan calculator) are for information only, and their results are estimates. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and prices of Shopify and other providers may change.
- Links to other websites are provided for convenience – we are not responsible for their content or availability.
- You may not use the website unlawfully: attempt to hack it, disrupt it, scrape data in bulk or send spam.
3. AI readiness audit tool (audit.bbold.online)
3.1. What it is
>audit.bbold.online is a free tool that automatically checks the publicly available pages of an online store and assesses how ready the store is for AI search and AI agents. The full report is unlocked by entering your email address and accepting these terms and the >privacy policy.
3.2. What to know about the results
- The assessment is automated and based only on information publicly visible at the time of the scan. The tool cannot see the store admin, app settings or other internal data.
- The score and recommendations are for information only. They do not guarantee that a store will (or will not) appear in AI search, and they are not a BBOLD certification.
- AI platforms and their rules change constantly, so results may differ from how a particular AI system sees your store.
- A short summary of the results may be written by artificial intelligence – it summarises the check results but may be inaccurate.
- The tool is provided "as is". We may change it, limit its use or discontinue it.
3.3. Rules of use
- Use the tool lawfully and fairly: do not bypass request limits, automate mass scans or disrupt the tool or the websites being scanned.
- You may share the results, but do not alter them or present them as a BBOLD certification.
- Each report is available via a unique link – anyone who has the link can open it.
- The domains, scores and rating bands of recently scanned stores may be shown on the tool's start page. A website owner can ask us to remove their domain by writing to hello@bbold.online.
3.4. Full audit
The full (paid) AI readiness audit is a separate agency service – it is governed by our offer and section 5 of these terms.
4. The "BBOLD Connector" Shopify app
>BBOLD Connector transfers Shopify orders and refunds to the RoboLabs accounting system. This section applies to store owners who have installed the app (the App) and replaces the earlier separate BBOLD Connector terms of service.
4.1. What you need
The App requires an active Shopify store and a working RoboLabs account with API access. By installing the App, you grant it the Shopify permissions needed to transfer order and customer data to RoboLabs, as described in the >privacy policy. The App is provided in line with Shopify's partner rules.
4.2. Plans and payments
- Plans, prices and the free trial are listed on the App's page in the Shopify App Store.
- App fees are collected by Shopify together with your Shopify bill.
- Fees paid are non-refundable, except where required by law or Shopify's rules.
- We announce price changes in advance. A new price applies only after you approve it in Shopify.
4.3. Your responsibilities
- Check the data transferred to RoboLabs before filing accounting and tax returns. The App transfers what is in Shopify; you and your accountant are responsible for correct bookkeeping, VAT rates and tax returns.
- Make sure you have the right to transfer customer data to RoboLabs and that your store's privacy policy says so.
- Do not use the App unlawfully, attempt to decompile it or bypass Shopify or RoboLabs limitations.
4.4. Availability, support and termination
- We aim to keep the App running without interruption, but it also depends on Shopify and RoboLabs. We are not responsible for outages or changes in those systems, but we help resolve issues and retry failed transfers.
- Support is provided by email at apps@bbold.online.
- You can uninstall the App from your store at any time. Data transfer then stops and no further fees are charged.
- We may suspend or terminate the App if you breach these terms or Shopify's rules, or if the App is removed from the Shopify App Store. If we plan to discontinue the App, we will let you know in advance.
4.5. Rights to the App
The App and all rights to it belong to BBOLD. While your subscription is active, you have a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the App in your store.
5. Agency services
We build, migrate, improve and maintain Shopify stores, set up integrations, run audits and provide consulting.
5.1. Offer and agreement
- The scope, price, deadlines and payment terms are set out in our offer. For larger projects we sign an agreement with an annex detailing the work.
- An offer is valid for the period stated in it. An order is placed when you sign the agreement, accept the offer in writing (e.g. by email) or pay the advance invoice.
- Prices are quoted excluding VAT unless stated otherwise.
5.2. How we work
- We do the work professionally and stick to the agreed deadlines. If there is a risk of delay, we tell you right away.
- Work not included in the offer or agreement is additional work. Before starting it, we agree on the price or number of hours. Hourly work is charged at the hourly rate stated in the offer or agreement.
- For work estimated in hours, we provide a preliminary estimate. If we see that it may be exceeded, we tell you in advance.
- We may engage trusted subcontractors. We are responsible for their work as for our own.
- We also use artificial intelligence tools in our work, and our team always reviews their output. How data is protected when we do so is described in the >privacy policy.
5.3. What we need from you
- Provide the content, data, access and decisions needed for the work on time. If these are delayed, our deadlines move accordingly.
- Appoint a contact person who makes decisions and gives feedback.
- Make sure the content you provide (texts, images, trademarks, product data) does not infringe the rights of others or the law.
- Take care of your store's legal compliance: terms of sale, privacy policy, consumer rights, taxes and product information. We help implement the technical side, but we do not provide legal advice.
- Pay for your Shopify plan, theme licences, apps, domain and other third-party services yourself, unless agreed otherwise.
5.4. Payments
- Invoices are due within 14 days of issue, unless the invoice, offer or agreement states a different term.
- For projects we usually ask for an advance payment, with the remainder due before handover. The exact terms are set out in the offer or agreement.
- For late payments we may charge interest at the rate set by law. After giving notice, we may pause work until overdue invoices are paid. Deadlines move accordingly for that period.
5.5. Handover and acceptance
- When we finish the work or a project stage, we give it to you for review. We fix comments within the agreed scope during the agreed number of revision rounds.
- The work is considered accepted when you sign the acceptance act, confirm it in writing, or when the store or feature goes live and is put into use.
5.6. Warranty – 12 months
Unless the agreement says otherwise, we fix free of charge any bugs caused by code we wrote or settings we configured that are found within 12 months after the work is accepted. Send us a description of the bug and we will fix it within a reasonable time.
The warranty does not apply if the problem was caused by:
- changes to the code, theme or settings made by you or third parties;
- updates or changes to apps, themes or the Shopify platform;
- outages of third-party services (payments, couriers, accounting and other systems);
- new features or requests that were not part of the agreed scope.
We can do such work as additional work.
5.7. Maintenance
We provide maintenance services (e.g. a monthly block of hours) under a separate arrangement that sets out the scope, price and how it can be ended.
5.8. Third-party services
Shopify, themes, apps, payment and courier services and other integrated systems are third-party products with their own terms and prices. We recommend and implement reliable solutions, but we are not responsible for their performance, outages, or changes to their prices or features. If such changes require additional work, we agree on it separately.
5.9. Intellectual property
- Once paid in full, the economic rights to the result created for you pass to you: the store design, the code written for your project, the content and the configuration.
- BBOLD keeps the rights to its own tools, shared code components, templates and know-how that we also use in other projects. We give you a perpetual, free right to use them in your store.
- Themes, apps, fonts, images and other third-party elements are subject to their own licences.
- Until the work is paid for, the rights to it remain with BBOLD.
5.10. Portfolio
We may mention your company name, logo, store link, screenshots and a short project description on our website and in presentations. We do not publish confidential information (e.g. sales data) without your consent. If you do not want the project to be mentioned, let us know and we will not publish it or will remove it.
5.11. Confidentiality and data
- Both parties keep each other's confidential information – business, financial, technical and customer information – confidential and use it only for the purposes of our cooperation. This obligation continues after the cooperation ends.
- When we work with your store's customer data, we act as a data processor. The terms are described in the >privacy policy and in the agreement or data processing agreement.
- We use access to your store only to do the work. When our cooperation ends, we recommend revoking it.
5.12. Ending the cooperation
- You can end a project at any time by notifying us in writing. In that case, you pay for the work done up to that point and any non-cancellable costs already incurred (e.g. licences purchased).
- We may end the cooperation if essential obligations (e.g. payment) are not met and the breach is not remedied within a reasonable time after our notice.
- When the cooperation ends, we hand over the results of the paid work and, at your request, help transfer access.
6. Liability
We stand behind our work and do our best to prevent problems. However, to the extent permitted by law:
- No guaranteed business results. We cannot guarantee specific sales, conversions, search rankings or visibility in AI search – they also depend on many factors outside our control.
- Indirect losses. We are not liable for lost revenue, lost profit, business interruption or other indirect losses.
- Backups. Shopify does not make full store backups, so we recommend using a backup app. We usually make theme changes in a copy of the theme and publish it only afterwards.
-
Liability cap. Our total liability does not exceed:
- for agency services – the price you paid for the specific order or project the claim relates to;
- for BBOLD Connector – the amount you paid for the App in the last 12 months;
- for the free audit tool and the website – to the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for their use.
- These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or where liability cannot be limited by law (including consumer rights).
7. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failing to meet its obligations if this is caused by circumstances beyond its control (e.g. natural disasters, large-scale outages of Shopify or internet infrastructure, decisions of public authorities). We let each other know about such circumstances as soon as possible.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always published on this page. We announce material changes at least 14 days in advance – on the website, and by email to clients and BBOLD Connector users. Projects already in progress remain under the terms in force when they were ordered, unless we agree otherwise.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. We first try to resolve any dispute by negotiation – write to hello@bbold.online. If we cannot agree, disputes are settled by the courts of the Republic of Lithuania according to BBOLD's registered office. Consumers may also contact the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of Lithuania (>vvtat.lt), and mandatory law determines which courts have jurisdiction for them.
